SendtoNews is Partnering with the NFL to Help Digital Publishers and Their Viewers Support COVID-19 Relief Via Streaming of the NFL’s Draft-A-Thon Live
With thanks to the NFL and the NFL Foundation, hundreds of publishers looking to help the fight against COVID-19 are getting another tool with the SendtoNews Live Stream of the NFL’s Draft-A-Thon Live, a virtual fundraiser supporting The United Way, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Feeding America and the CDC Foundation.
The NFL’s Draft-A-Thon Live is a three-day live event starting at 7:30 pm ET April 23rd, held as part of the 2020 NFL Draft. Hosted by NFL Network’s Rich Eisen and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, the event will raise funds for COVID-19 relief while paying tribute to healthcare workers, first responders and others on the front lines. STN’s live stream gives digital publishers a way to engage and entertain their viewers together with an impactful way to support the COVID-19 relief effort. Fans can also join players, teams, and communities around the country in uniting for COVID-19 relief efforts by donating now at NFL.com/Relief.
“Consistent with their history, hundreds of our community and local news publishers have rallied around this effort to raise awareness for the cause that matters most right now,” says SendtoNews CEO Matthew Watson. “When the NFL offered us this opportunity to help our publishers support those hardest hit by COVID-19, we jumped at the chance. We are proud to assist the NFL in supporting the United Way, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Feeding America and the CDC Foundation in all their efforts.”
In addition to delivering the NFL’s Draft-A-Thon Live, SendtoNews’ response to the current pandemic includes helping publishers deliver the most up-to-date video content to their readers with a COVID-19 player, which automatically refreshes with the latest news and information every 20 minutes, keeping audiences informed and engaged. SendtoNews has also teamed up with SpotX to donate ad inventory to run video PSA’s from the CDC and World Health Organization to raise awareness and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
